SERVICES
Action Coaching Mathematics Excellence is an academic coaching practice, not a tutoring business. Action Coaching seeks broader and more lasting results than a grade on a report card. Certainly, much of what ACME does is tutoring, but I seek to build a stronger student and a math-confident human in the process. The coaching relationship is key to this outcome. All sessions are personally conducted by Matthew Shaffer.
IN-PERSON
Traditional one-on-one coaching sessions in math. Sessions are typically one hour long. We determine the location based upon client needs. Possibilities include the client's home, the Library or in my studio.
REMOTE
The remote option is well suited for adult clients. We conduct remote sessions via Zoom, using a document camera. Sessions can be scheduled to suit the client at virtually any time that is mutually convenient.
COMPUTING
Action Coaching provides a wide range of computer skills training including basic computer skills, spreadsheet, database and desktop publishing.
RATES
Rate is $60 per 55-minute session. Once we establish a coaching arrangement, I schedule the client's sessions and bill for the month ahead. Initial consultation is always gratis.
Cancellation Policy: Preferred is scheduling for the month ahead. Required is one week notice. I allow ONE short-term reschedule or cancellation with credit PER QUARTER for unforeseen circumstances such as illness or an urgent family matter. Life happens.
